There was gridlock on three of the area's main roadways late Tuesday afternoon as a result of crashes during the height of the severe round of storms that swept through the area.
Two lanes were blocked on southbound I-684 at Hardscrabble Road in North Salem (Exit 8) after a crash reported at 5:15 p.m.
On I-84, a serious multi-vehicle crash took out the right lane is causing 30-minute westbound delays at Route 52 (Exit 12) in Dutchess, with traffic backed up to Lime Kiln Road (Exit 15).
A crash that took out two lanes on the southbound Taconic State Parkway at Route 6/Inspiration Road caused stop-and-go delays stretching back to the Westchester/Putnam line.
Those crashes were reported just before 5 p.m.
